Every three days or daily, depending on the touch, Martín, Karen, and Rolando, get ready very early, to give the last details of the materials they will use in their teaching day of the day in the "distance" classes they have scheduled, this implies prepare graphics, design them from A to Z, add notes, colors, images, etc. design tasks, exercises and have a complete battery of additional activities if required, all within a strict teaching program and in the midst of a pandemic.

A coffee, light breakfast beforehand, getting ready to be presentable in front of the screen and to stay in "virtual class" for three, four and even five continuous hours daily, is putting thousands of teachers like them in one of their biggest professional challenges. The challenge for mentors has been going on for almost 20 days, both in public and private schools and at all educational levels, so most of them adapt to arduous hours in front of the computer to train in new information technologies and many others. to transmit their subjects to groups of students also trapped by the uncertainty of COVID19. Faced with these struggles, TheObserverMex, went out to the WEB neighborhood, to collect the testimony of some of them. These are their stories.

DISTANCE LEARNING HAS ITS ADVANTAGES: KAREN

Karen Jared Montaño Durán is a high school teacher at the TecMilenio University, teaches Anthropology, and Skills and Values ​​in English, she says, that it has seemed a little easier to work "At a distance", although there is no So many distractors, it turns out, in some optimal way, that the students “settle” in a space in their house, which helps to better capture their attention, Montaño uses the Canvas platform, which belongs to the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and which is mainly designed to carry out video calls, as well as being intuitive and easy to manipulate.

She works five hours for two days a week, Monday and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., this being the time she sits at the computer. The number of groups it has is three. It ensures that being subjects where it is not necessary to make own explanations of exercises in the areas of algebra, chemistry or physics, for example, the development of the class is easier.
