65% consider the coronavirus issue to be serious, but it has not yet gotten out of control

De las Heras Demotecnia presented the second installment of its digital survey on the COVID-19, which tracks the opinion of Mexicans on the subject. The results can be consulted every Monday on the page: demotecnia.com.mx/coronavirus-tracking/

This second installment recorded that 50% of Mexicans have not attended crowded places in the last seven days, however, there is still 45% who still frequent public spaces out of necessity. On the other hand, 95% mentioned that they have not gone on a trip in the last week.

Regarding the prevention and hygiene recommendations given by the authorities to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus; 75% of the respondents mentioned following all measures, 5% more than in the first installment.

On the other hand, there is 23% of Mexicans have not stopped doing their daily activities, however, there is 21% who have already stopped doing their daily routine due to this issue. 56% have “partly” left most of their activities.

Regarding the Mexican government's action in the face of this contingency, 32% of the participants stated that the current administration is doing very badly; a decrease of 10% compared to the first delivery.

78% of the participants said they did not know someone sick with coronavirus. In addition, 65% believe that this topic is somewhat serious, but it still does not get out of control.

This second survey was conducted from March 23 to 30, 2020, to people over 18 years of age, and 7,733 interviews were taken into account. If you want to participate in this tracking, click here.
