Poor bank service causes turmoil and long queue at Edomex

March 31th, 2020

Tumults, long lines, insufficient staff, empty ATMs, closed ATMs, broken ATMs and branches closed due to the health emergency, are some of the problems that commercial banking clients in the Toluca Valley have found in the last hours, where to go to the bank and obtaining cash resources “from their accounts” has become not only tedium but also a risk of contagion.

The bank branches in the Toluca Valley and in the capital, in particular, register turmoil because the credit institutions decided to reduce staff and impose dynamics of attention to the public, which have caused huge lines throughout the last 48 hours. Not only that, but some are also closed (such as the Bancomer located on the Adolfo López Mateos highway), while others operate only in the ATM area.

The problem of crowds outside branches is seen in practically all types of banks, both Bancomer, Banamex, HSBC and Banorte, where executives keep people out in the sun and out in the open, no matter what they are. older adults, who according to the health contingency by COVID19 worldwide, are the most exposed and vulnerable. The lines of customers were observed this Tuesday in the same large avenues as in the Banamex of Adolfo López Mateos Avenue, almost in front of COMER, even in the banks of the center of the capital, such as the Bancomer located in Paseo Colón, where users who were formed since 9:00 am, reported having been queuing outside the institution, more than an hour and a half.
