A video published by the official account of Metepec’s City Hall, that claims that the administration, headed by the member of Morena, Gabriela Gamboa Sanchez, decreased the criminal events on 23.8% from January to April, in relation to the same period in 2018.

Analysis:

According to the data of the Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública, from January to April of 2018, were registered 1711 crimes in Metepec. From that period, January was the most insecure month, having registered 562. April was the quietest, with 342.

On the same period, but this year, have been made 1382 crimes. April was the most insecure month, having registered 362 cases, and March was the safest, with 326 incidents.

The percentage of decrease is exactly 23.80607814761215%, which concurs with the given by Metepec’s City Hall.

Conclusions:

These numbers give the reason to the mayor of Ecatepec. Indeed, it is an evident decrease on the general crime events on the town.

The only comment about it, is that, in these months of 2019, the crime incidents have been uniform than last year. It has been registered 361 incidents in January 333 in February 326 in March and 362 in April this year, respectively, and representing an average of 345.5 crimes per month.

On the same period of 2018, there were made 362 crimes in January 417 in February 390 in March and 342 in April, making out of this, an average of 427.75 crimes per month. As you can see, although the average is significantly higher in 2018, this is due to the insecurity in January.
