As a result of the inspection made by the 60 brigades integrated by Toluca’s municipal administration after the last earthquake on September 19th, there have been checked around 1,000 properties such as hospitals, markets, companies, houses, churches and educational centers which in their majority don’t show affectations that put on risk the integrity of the users and scholar community.
After a week of the natural disaster, the mayor Fernando Zamora informed that in the state’s capital there have been done works of revision by elements of Civil Protection, Citizen Security and Public Work in 25 hospitals, 8 markets, 35 temples, 127 public buildings, 102 houses, 66 companies and 602 schools which sum up 965 properties.
So far, only in two schools there were registered major problems. One is the kindergarden Isabel de Castilla in one of its areas; the second one is also the kindergarden Benito Juárez in San Cristobal Huichochitlán, the results of the revisions will be delivered to the authorities in order to take the necessary actions.
By 4th day straight, the brigades roamed over the schools to verify the buildings’ conditions. Equally, the municipal governor of Toluca said that the monitoring will be kept in the rivers Verdiguel and Tejalpa, in the low areas of the municipality such as San Pablo Autopan, San Andrés Cuexcontitlán, San Blas Totoltepec, El Embarcadero and La Constitución Totoltepec, where up to now, there is no risk at all.
