The most “dramatic” case of the intensification of social programs in the State of Mexico in a previous period to the campaigns, is the one of the program called “Gente Grande” for which it was launched in only 60 days, the 88.26% of the annual resources assigned to that program.

Another case is about the “Futuro en Grande” program. For that program, 70 million pesos were planned, and the administration of the governor Eruviel Ávila used between January and February, 44,752,950 pesos, that means 63.93% of the program’s budget.

A report about the delivering of social programs during this year given to the local Congress, reveals that among January and February the state’s administration distributed more than the half of the social supports from three different programs aimed to groups whose votes will be key on the elections of June 4th to choose a new governor: women (who represent 50% of the electoral roll); youth over 18 years old (30%); and ancient people, where the “strong” vote of the PRI is focused on.

These programs that were profusely distributed before the start of the campaigns are: Futuro en Grande (Big Future; these are scholarships for students); and Gente Grande (Big People; groceries for ancient people in different ways).
