Alfredo del Mazo Maza is on the list of governors with the worst management of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus, according to the latest Mexico Choose survey.

In his data collection for the month of April, the Governor of the State of Mexico had a 52.4% approval in handling the crisis caused by the pandemic. This is the fifth-worst place nationally, above Claudia Sheinbaum, from Mexico City (50.9); Cuitláhuac García, from Veracruz (50.7); Cuauhtémoc Blanco, from Morelos (46.5); and Miguel Barbosa, from Puebla (43.4). Of the PRI governors, it is the country with the worst perception of performance.

As for the general approval, which is the monthly reason for the survey, the Mexican governor still remains in the last places at the national level, with an approval percentage of 29.7%, just above Miguel Barbosa, with 27.7%; Silvano Aureoles, PRD governor of Michoacán, with 26.4%, and Cuauhtémoc Blanco, of Morelos, with 24.7%.

Speaking specifically about the coronavirus issue at the national level, most Mexicans approve the proposed measures to stop the spread of the pandemic in the country (some expressly rejected by the federal government). 96.9% of the respondents agree to prohibit the concentrations of more than 100 people, 91.8% declared in favor of helping the poor, 89.8% agreed to postpone the collection of personal and business credits, 86.3% to In favor of closing parks and squares, 85% asked to postpone the collection of public services such as electricity and water, 83.6% declared in favor of supporting private initiative so as not to lose jobs, 83% welcome the closing of bars and restaurants, 80.4% asks to postpone the collection of taxes (not to cancel them), 78.6% asks for the same for the collection of rents from businesses and houses, 78.2% is in favor of canceling international flights, while 77.1% is in favor, now, of reducing taxes.
