April 13th, 2020

The Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) invites researchers to publish in Scientific and Academic Works with which it seeks to deepen aspects of democracy, or, in Outreach Works, aimed at a non-specialized audience on the political-electoral issue, which during the contingency by COVID-19 may be sent to the emails: ceditorial@ieem.org.mx and, ceditorial.ieem@gmail.com.

To apply for the texts, they have until September 18, 2020, whose details of the calls can be found at www.ieem.org.mx in the Minisites section of the Electoral Training and Documentation Center, and you can also find out the criteria Editorials at https://www.ieem.org.mx/cefode/descargas/Criterioseditoriales_IEEM.pdf.

In such a way that, in the case of the works to be published within the Scientific and Academic Works, interested persons can postulate their contributions in the Inclusive Electoral Policy series, in Briefs on Democratic Political Culture and Legal and Political-Electoral Research.

To consider the investigations in any of the series, they must have strict academic rigor, and present studies related to vulnerable groups of the population or concisely explain some interesting and current aspects of democracy, such as campaigns, parties politicians, the media, among others.

While the Disclosure Works, which are part of the series of Citizen Training Notebooks, are texts that are aimed at the general public, at citizens not specialized in electoral issues.

So it is important to use an accessible language, as less technical as possible, that seeks to preserve the interest of the subject and take care of the propositional approach, also, they should be the result of unpublished academic research that provides original knowledge, and will undergo a process of Opinion before the Editorial Committee of the IEEM, made up of renowned specialists, academics and academics in the electoral field.

With the generation of publication spaces, the IEEM contributes to the analysis of political and electoral events, as well as to the promotion and dissemination of political and democratic culture.

Sincerely

“You make the best choice”
