February 3rd, 2019

The Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) invites researchers to publish in any of the editorial lines, their work related to political-electoral issues, whether in the Scientific and Academic Works with which they seek to deepen aspects about democracy, or, in the Outreach Works, which are aimed at an audience not specialized in the subject.

In the case of the works to be published within the Scientific and Academic Works, interested persons can apply for their contributions in the series of Inclusive Electoral Policy, in Breviaries of Democratic Political Culture and Legal and Political-Electoral Investigations.

To consider the research in any of the series, they must have a strict academic rigor, and present studies related to vulnerable groups of the population or concisely explain some interesting and current aspects about democracy, such as campaigns, parties politicians, media, among others.

While the Outreach Works, which are part of the Citizen Training Notebooks series, are texts that are addressed to the general public, to citizens who do not specialize in political-electoral issues.

In such a way that an accessible, simple, less technical possible language should be used, which seeks to preserve the interest of the subject and takes care of the propositional approach, and should have a minimum length of 40 pages and a maximum of 100 pages.

In addition, those interested in applying for their publications can learn more about the characteristics that their work must contain, through the editorial criteria found at https://www.ieem.org.mx/cefode/descargas/ Criterioseditoriales_IEEM.pdf.

It is important to mention that each of the works must be the result of unpublished academic research that provides original knowledge, and will also be submitted to an opinion process before the Editorial Committee of the IEEM, composed of renowned specialists, academics and academics in the political field -electoral.

With the generation of publication spaces, the IEEM helps in the analysis of political events, as well as in the promotion and dissemination of political and democratic culture.
