All crimes increased in Huixquilucan during 2019, according to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP) released on January 20.
According to the figures of the secretariat, in 2019, 4,768 crimes of the common law were registered in Huixquilucan; This represents an increase of 21.32% compared to 2018, the year in which 3,930 incidents were reported.
During the past year, May was the month that reported the most incidents, with 457 cases, while January was the lowest month in crimes, 347 recorded incidents. In this particular case, the crimes in Huixquilucan experienced a constant increase until reaching a peak in May, and then experienced ascents and descents during the rest of the year.
In 2019, 35 intentional homicides were committed. August was the month with the highest number of murders, with seven cases, and February and March were the months with the lowest number of malicious homicides, one each.
Although this seems like a very small number of malicious homicides, there is an increase in the incidence of this illicit. In 2018, 24 cases were registered, which means that last year there was a 45.83% increase in malicious homicides.
As for femicides, two were registered in Huixquilucan; one in November and one in December. In this particular illicit, and unlike Naucalpan and Toluca, Huixquilucan had, statistically speaking, a decrease, because in 2018 three femicides were reported. However, a decrease of only one femicide in the year, in practical terms, would indicate that the trend continues.
