HIGHLIGHTS

IEEM magazine encourages politic research

August 19th, 2019

The Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) continues to create spaces to invite researchers, as well as disseminators of knowledge in the electoral-political area, to post their original articles and essays derived from scientific research in the Journal of Electoral Notes, as well as book reviews, which can be approached from a local or international, historical or contemporary, comparative or case-based approach.

Those interested in participating and publishing in the semiannual magazine number 62, have until August 30 to submit their work either in Spanish or English, in digital format, through the electronic manager Open Journal Systems, which is located in the address http://aelectorales.ieem.org.mx.

In turn, all texts will be evaluated by members of the Portfolio of dictators of the magazine, among which are recognized researchers from the electoral political area of different national and international academic institutions.

The review criteria will be under the "double-blind academic peers" modality, which is considered one of the most effective mechanisms to guarantee the quality, reliability, integrity and consistency of the work.

As part of the delivery format, works with a minimum of 25 pages and a maximum of 40 will be accepted, in 12-point Arial print and double spaced. However, in the case of book reviews, they may not exceed five pages.

It is important to mention that contributions that have appeared in other print or digital media, or those that are in editorial process in another publication, will not be accepted.

Once the work has been delivered, the result of the evaluation can be consulted on the electronic platform and if it has been accepted, the process of editing the text will begin, to later find the publication in the Electoral Notes link, as well as in the bases and catalogs to which the magazine belongs such as: Dialnet, Redib, DOAJ, Lantidex, Class and Biblat.

Electoral Notes is an open access publication related to the objectives of promoting and disseminating the political-democratic culture, which is also in printed support at the different book fairs in which the electoral body participates.
