La Paz, Mexico, July 23th, 2019.-

The Agent of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) brought criminal action against two subjects identified as Omar “N” and Iván “N”. This because of their probable participation in the events happened this weekend, in which seven people died and 11 were injured, when a public passenger service van overturned on the Mexico-Puebla highway, at the height of the Rincón de los colony Reyes, in this municipality.

On Monday night both detainees were admitted to the Nezahualcóyotl Penitentiary and Social Reinsertion Center, and there will be a Judge who determines their legal situation.

It is worth mentioning that these subjects, who are related, boarded a public transport vehicle, on Route 98, with economic number 1424 which circulated on the Mexico-Puebla Highway and at the height of kilometer 17 + 500, in the Rincon neighborhood de Los Reyes, robbed the passengers.

One of the likely assailants shoot and injured the public transport driver, who lost control of the unit and was struck by a concrete wall located at the entrance of a gas station.

Derived from these events, seven people died and 11 injured, including those arrested.

After being discharged at noon on July 22, Omar “N” of 19 years and Iván “N” of 42 years, were presented before the Public Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office Specialized in Crimes Against Transport, then they were referred to a judge, who will determine his legal situation.

These individuals should be considered innocent until a conviction is issued against them.
