The mayor of Ecatepec, Fernando Vilchis Contreras, along with other mayors of the entity formed a common front of 80 municipal presidents of the State of Mexico to which the state government retained resources from the State Fund for Municipal Strengthening (Fefom), which will be used to carry out works and priority actions in their municipalities.
The municipal governments affected by the retention of this fund formed a common front to demand from Governor Alfredo del Mazo Maza the total delivery of the resources allocated to the municipalities since January.
The Fefom this year has four billion pesos, which will be distributed among the 125 municipalities of the entity by the Secretariat of Finance of the State of Mexico .
