Neighbors of the Metepec Linear Garden, or agreed that despite the large influx of people who come to play sports and leisure activities in this park, "gateway" to the famous Magic Village of mud, should be maintained more consistently, due to the accumulation of garbage and oblivion conditions that part of its infrastructure presents.
The Linear Garden, is a characteristic and tourist site of Metepec, inaugurated during the triennium of Carolina Monroy del Mazo in 2014 and realized with an approximate investment of 45 million pesos. In this, several sculptures and handicrafts provide tourist attraction to this emblematic municipality of Mexico.
In order to know what was the opinion regarding the creation and conditions that presents this work, TheObserverMex inquired among neighboring people along the Linear Garden.
Starting at the height of the "Tree of Life Park", in the "El Hípico" neighborhood, one of the interviewees, Gerardo Mejía, mentioned that the vast majority of people who come or transit through this place, do so to relax in the benches arranged throughout the park. Only 10% go for recreational purposes that sports, calculated.
Likewise, Mejía said that the work is valuable for the community, since it represents an important tourist attraction for Metepec, because it offers an expression of the art that is cultivated in the demarcation.
Another interviewee was Eleazar Rodríguez, who said he did not know the creation of the Linear Garden, and with a sarcastic tone expressed that the use that people give him is "garbage". Since in his spare time he decides to walk through it, and on the way, you can perceive lots of garbage, especially in the returns of the University Institute of the State of Mexico (IUEM), and Galleries Metepec.
On the other hand, he argued that in front of this square, some handicrafts and sculptures carved in marble had been placed. However, with the passage of time; some of these have been vandalized and later restored. Regarding this, he mentioned that some of the sculptures are no longer there, and there were spaces where there is nothing and that at night when lighting the lamps that illuminate these "holes", only light is spent: "what lights if there is no nothing, "he stressed.
The above reveals possible thefts of artistic works that were in place, without the authorities of Metepec, have reported to the population. The work originally, exhibited 32 exclusive pieces of 16 master artisans, of the municipality.
Another point that the interviewee took was that of the fountain located in front of Plaza las Américas, which does not serve adequately, since when they turn it on, all the water is watered.
All this indicates that only during the triennium of the former mayor of Metepec, Carolina Monroy, the infrastructure of the Linear Park received the required maintenance, and that currently with the government change of the "Morenoista" PAN, Gabriela Gamboa, not even paid attention to keep it in proper conditions.
His argument about whether or not the investment in the construction of this work was good was "The problem is that whether or not it is already agreed, and neither Carolina Monroy nor Gamboa will do anything".
