Toluca prepares a cultural weekend of the International Day of Dance

Toluca dresses up with a wide cultural program to celebrate the International Dance Day, where the public can learn art and enjoy extraordinary presentations on April 27 in the Parque Cuauhtémoc Alameda and the 29th in the Casa de Cultura of Cacalomacán, reaffirming the commitment to rebuild the social fabric through art.

On Saturday, April 27 at 11:00, the professional dancer and teacher Omar Yirat will give a free massive class of Cuban salsa, where those interested can learn from the hand of one of the best without leaving the city, and those who already know will expand their repertoire of turns and shines.

At 12:00 noon the Folkloric Ballet of the Municipality of Toluca will be presented; at 1:00 p.m., UNITEC; at 2:00 pm, they will be able to appreciate contemporary dance with the CIIA; at 3:00 p.m., the Artistic Integration Center; at 15:30, the attendees will enjoy a sports dance on wheelchairs with Ody Agustín; at 16:00, Pasión de España will show dance of this country; at 17:00 hours Macuixochitl will show his talent with folkloric ballet and at 18:00, Yemaya ballroom dancing.

On Monday 29 at 3:30 pm, Lic. Juan Fernández Albarrán Elementary School and Children's Garden teacher will be presented. Maclovia Vera; at 16:00, Tito's Dance-school; at 16:15, the folkloric group Xquenda; 16:40, Danzare Mx, and at 17:10, the Center for Artistic Initiation and Research CIIA.

The Directorate of Culture invites young and old to live this weekend in which Toluca joins this international celebration, a framework in which it recognizes dance as a means to express itself, share and experience diversity, thanks to its artistic manifestation and universality, which breaks down barriers and unites people in peace and friendship with a common language.
