Ecatepec's government and staff of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) made the discovery of pre-Hispanic human settlements near the site where the construction of the first planetarium of the municipality is carried out.

During the works to build this new space, human remains around 1,500 years old were found by INAH workers.

The municipal president, Fernando Vilchis Contreras, said that the government will work together with INAH to preserve these discoveries, which will give a tourist boost to the Ehécatl Ecological Park.
