The restoration of the Puente de Fierro and the rehabilitation of the property that belonged to the former Mexican Red Cross, the construction of a Historical Museum of Ecatepec and the return to the municipality of the mammoth skeleton that was found in the Ejidos of San Cristóbal, are the agreements reached by the municipal president Fernando Vilchis Contreras with INAH authorities, after a tour of historic sites in the municipality.

With the director of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), Diego Prieto, it was also agreed to create the Tourist Corridor of the municipality that contemplates a walk from the Fierro Bridge that will serve as an open gallery, the old Royal Road of the Novo capital Hispana, the Albarradón, which served to regulate the passage of water between the old lake of Texcoco and the Zumpango lagoon, the Casa de Morelos Community Center and the building that housed the former Mexican Red Cross in the municipality, explained Ecatepec's Mayor.
