Del Mazo stops reforms to democratize the Judiciary and OSFEM

It has not published the reforms so that the next holders are elected by transparent mechanisms; by not publishing the decrees, boycotts legislative work and reforms cannot take effect

Del Mazo stops reforms to democratize the Judiciary and OSFEM

December 10th, 2019

The governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, has not published the reforms approved by the plenary session of the Local Congress, to democratize the election of the next president of the Superior Court of Justice of the State of Mexico (TSJEM) through the “secret vote”, what is a boycott of parliamentary work.

The PRI president has also not published the changes made to the Law of Superior Control of the State of Mexico, through which the requirements for the election of the next head of the OSFEM were modified.

In both cases, if the reforms worked by the Legislature at the request of Morena are not published, they are irrelevant.
