The Witch Raquel, La Nahuala, The Headless Horseman and Don Nacho are some of the characters of the Baldemira Universe Movement, who compiled the stories and legends of each town of Ecatepec to spread them among the inhabitants of the municipality.
The narrator Gabriel García Franco, writer of the books of La Mano Peluda and founder of the Movement, said that with the support of Mayor Fernando Vilchis Contreras and his wife Esmeralda Vallejo Martínez, president of the municipal DIF, began the rescue of the history of the nine founding towns of Ecatepec, as well as its myths and legends.
“We do a study by town, by place, by region, we listen to the people, we record the chroniclers for more than an hour, the elderly, we take the story, we take it to narrative and there they can see them,” he said.
