On behalf of the Parliamentary Group of Morena, the deputies Nancy Nápoles Pacheco, María de Jesús Galicia Ramos and María del Rosario Elizalde Vázquez presented at the plenary session of the 60 Legislature, an initiative to allow the interruption in the State of Mexico legal status of pregnancy, before the twelfth week of gestation.

“It is being considered until 12 weeks, we will be very aware, the initiative is addressed in the work of commissions so that as soon as possible it can become law because it is already a social requirement.

He said that under current legislation criminalizing the termination of pregnancy, there are more than 56 thousand Mexican women, between 17 and 38 years of age, who have gone to Mexico City to have an abortion legally and assisted.
