To contribute to the care of the environment, the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) concluded the operation of destruction and recycling of the documentation of the election of local councils and members of the City Councils 2017-2018. In addition to that quarterly recycled paper in disuse which is generated in an ordinary manner, for which you will receive bond paper in exchange, said the Director of Organization, Víctor Hugo Cíntora Vilchis.

He indicated that there were around 200 tons of paper (which includes valid votes, null votes, unused excess tickets and documentation left over from the box), as well as cardboard in disuse that were delivered to the company Bio-Pappel S.A.B. de C.V., which uses ecological procedures in recycling processes.

As for the benefit, for each ton of paper delivered to the company, the Institute will receive 3 boxes of recycled bond paper with 5 thousand sheets each, which is equivalent to approximately 600 boxes and that means a great savings for the institution.
