During the month of April were committed in the State of Mexico 298 homicides, which despite being a slight decrease from March (which recorded 329), makes it the second month with more murders so far this year.
The Mexican entity is placed in second place at the national level in homicides (both malicious and culpable), only behind Guanajuato, with 395 incidents during the month of April.
According to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), released on May 20, during January of this year 292 homicides were committed to decrease to 277 in February, to rebound in March to 329 and on April 298. This represents a decrease of 10.40% between the last two months registered by the SESNSP.
Intentional homicides with a firearm for example, registered 140 incidents last month.
Furthermore, the injuries experienced a decrease during April, after registering 3,966 cases in March, but without reaching the levels of January or February, with 3,128 and 3,350 cases, respectively.
On the other hand, femicides increased, registering seven cases in April after five were registered in March. This puts April on par with February, but below January, which recorded nine incidents.
The robbery to house also experienced a slight descent with respect to March, registering 684 incidences, against 705.
Despite this, April was the month with more attacks so far this year, with 1,169 cases, leaving behind January, which registered 1,154 incidents; February, with 892, and March, with 881.
