The policy of Mayor Fernando Vilchis Contreras is to prevent alcohol consumption by minors and young people.
The municipal government and the Citizen Participation Council of San Cristóbal denied any permission to celebrate the so-called Michelada Fair or also the Michelada Festival 2019. Which is being improperly promoted on social networks and, supposedly, will take place on October 17. May to 19 in the Civic Center of Ecatepec.
The Direction of Economic Development of the city council noticed that the event goes against the initiative of the mayor Fernando Vilchis Contreras, to prevent the consumption of alcohol in minors. Which is a problem not only in Edomex but at a national level.
He reiterated that the Directorate of Economic Development of Ecatepec does not authorize this Fest, nor the Citizen Participation Council (Copaci) of the San Cristóbal Center.
