Electoral councilor shares participation mechanisms with university students

With the single idea of inform and to make conscious the students from the Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Jocotitlán (TESJO). The counsilor of the Electoral institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM), Sandra López Bringas, explained on a conference that the participation of the inhabitants is not cutting down on elections given that there are permanent ways to make sure that the opinion of the people about the decisions made by the government.
She stood out during the talk that is important for the youth to know more about the democratic exercise and become a citizenship that asks for actions to the authorities, because going to vote once you are old enough, is just the first step. This talk was called Citizen participation inside and outside the electoral process in the State of Mexico. And it was organized by the Direction of Citizen Participation of the institute along with authorities of the TESJO.
