ANALYZED IN IEEM THE POLITICAL PARTICIPATION AND ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION OF MEXICAN WOMEN

Within the framework of the activities of the Observatorio de Participación Política de las Mujeres en el Estado de México, the "Meeting of Mexican Women: Their Participation in Politics and Access to Public Information" was held, organized by the Institute of Transparency, Access to Public Information and Protection of Personal Data of the State of Mexico and Municipalities (Infoem), in collaboration with those who are part of it, such as the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM), the Electoral Court of the State of Mexico (TEEM ), the State Council for Women and Social Welfare (CEMyBS) and various institutions and organizations of civil society.
The IEEM President Councilor, Pedro Zamudio Godínez stressed that this event is in line with the work of the State Observatory that seeks to generate, systematize and disseminate information on the political participation of women in the entity and allows promoting the exchange of experiences, promote the exercise of the Right of Access to Public Information, reinforce the importance of training and promote inter-institutional collaboration.
In turn, Zulema Martínez, Commissioner-President of Infoem and Eriko Flores Pérez, Technical Secretary of the Cabinet, agreed that it is important to reflect to demand changes and position women in leadership positions, as well as to promote gender equality since a new generation of political-electoral rights is lived.
