Workers from various workplaces of the National Water Commission (Conagua), initiated intermittent work stoppages and protest demonstrations, due to the retention of benefits other than their salary.
According to workers who reported to TheObserverMex, federal authorities owe them payments for various items, mainly for "overtime", which constitute the largest amount of their income.
Federal government employees, attached to the SEMARNAT Workers' Union, of Section 12, which brings together at least 800 Conagua employees from about 10 work centers, including the Berros Water Treatment Plant, of the Cutzamala system.
