The Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) participates in the International Book Fair of Guadalajara, with the presentation of its most recent works such as the Study on the quality of citizenship in the State of Mexico and, Mexican vote from abroad in 2017, with the aim of enhancing its presence in other federal entities promoting the dissemination of specialized knowledge in political-electoral matters and democratic political culture.

So that stand I-16 of the Electoral Institute and Citizen Participation Institute of Jalisco (IEPC), was the headquarters to speak in detail about the texts, starting with the Study on the quality of citizenship in the State of Mexico, commented by the Electoral Councilor of the IEEM, Saúl Mandujano Rubio and by the Magistrate of the Guadalajara Regional Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation, Sergio Arturo Guerrero Olvera and as moderator was Miguel Ángel García Hernández, Electoral Advisor of the Institute.

This presentation highlighted that, for the preparation of the study, a face-to-face questionnaire was applied in housing in 150 electoral sections reaching a sample of 1500 participants, and it is a work that was supported by the Editorial Committee of the Institute, carried out in Together with the researchers from El Colegio de México, María Fernanda Somuano and Melina Altamirano, which also emerges from the 2014 Country Report and the ENCCÍVICA of the National Electoral Institute.

Subsequently, the book Voto mexiquense from abroad was presented in 2017, written by the Electoral Councilor Miguel Ángel García Hernández, which was commented by the Counselor

Electoral, Saúl Mandujano Rubio, and Igor Vivero Ávila, Head of the Electoral Training and Documentation Center and moderated by Bernardo Aguilar Rodríguez, an electoral official of the IEEM.

Here we talked about the author's experience as part of the Special Commission for Voting Abroad in 2017 and the logistics involved in promoting foreign participation, aspects that are drafted quickly and easily, in search of transmitting the experience to implement for the first time in the entity the vote from abroad in the election of Governor in 2017, as well as the challenges involved in finding a way to make Mexicans based in another country know their right to vote.

It is important to mention that within the IEPC Jalisco stand, the works submitted until December 8, the date on which the Book Fair concludes, are available to the attending public and, in turn, can be downloaded for free on the www page. ieem.org.mx in the publications section.
