Official data of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System establish that from January to September of this year, the rate of femicide in Ecatepec was reduced by more than 60% compared to the same period of 2018.
This, as a result of the strategies implemented by the municipal government of Ecatepec to prevent and combat gender violence.
According to the national crime incidence statistics of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System, during this 2019 only 5 femicides have been committed in the municipality against 13 that occurred from January to September last year.
