Del Mazo is still in the governors' basement: Mitofsky

April 8th, 2020

Alfredo del Mazo continues in penultimate place in the ranking of national governors, according to the survey carried out by Consulta Mitofsky with a cut in March this year.

Despite experiencing a slight rise compared to February, where he obtained 13.3 points, the head of the state executive continues on the list of governors with the least approval, only above the Morelos governor of Morelos, Cuauhtémoc Blanco. According to the survey, only 15.4% of the population approves of Del Mazo, 30 months after taking office. 83.6% say they disagree with their government, and only one percent do not know how to rate it.

This is the second time that its approval has seen a rebound. The first was in November 2019, where it went from a previous 16.8% approval to 18.2%. His "best" month was August of that year, with 23.5% approval. In contrast, last March has been its lowest point yet with 13.3% approval. Obviously, this also means that he is the PRI governor with the least approval, close to Ignacio Peralta, from Colima, who with position 29 has 23% approval. In general, the approval of the parties in the country experienced a rebound during this month. The PRI, which controls 12 states, increased from 29.5 to 32.2% from February to March. The PAN, with governors in 10 states, went from 39.8% to 41%. Morena, which controls seven states, went from 40.9% approval to 43.1%
