Beyond the cries and legislative surprises, what will the current government do to change the reality of the Estado de México? Morena´s ominous silence in the Humbertus gulp case. And now what they will have negotiated? Theories of Fear: “They are all Grupo Atlacomulco” and a coup d´etat of drug trafficking?

We are a few days before the end of the appearances of the members of the cabinet, legal and extended, on the occasion of the second report of work of the executive. The balance, although from the outset it may seem good in favor especially of the fraction of Morena in the Local Congress, in reality it will have to be a more thorough evaluation of its performance in the medium term, since if what the really pursue is to consolidate here the new nation project offered by the Federal executive, they will have to do more, but much more than the claims, displacements and strident demands that we heard and saw them do in the Senate, during the lag of almost four weeks that we have been carrying out the legislative review. In the other hand it is painful that for some legislators, the appearances of high officials served only as a political gateway (and not only i mean the fraction of Morena), but to show how “hard” they can be and a little of why they may have to negotiate… While in other cases, so equally painful, they frankly displayed the side of what they really are… example? The president in turn.

Of course, we can´t put all 75 deputies in the same sack, there are some really committed to the cause of “true change” and really their effort is commendable and even admirable… and it also shows, but others really… Well better see the appearances, finally it was saved on youtube. By the way, the silence of the deputies in the #Humbertus case, yesterday afternoon, during the appearance of the unpresentable prosecutor, is not only regrettable, truly symptomatic of the control already implemented by the state government in the Legislature. I wonder otherwise they will have negotiated in exchange for their silence in this emblematic case… Abundant in the subject. Not long ago, talking with Bernardo Barranco in an interview about the second year of Mr. Duque´s government, he commented on a theory he has developed from his own experience and acute sense of analysis. His disturbing theory that, by the way, left me stunned not by the adventurous but by its accumulation of reflections in reality, is that the Atlacomulco Group is not only formed by the former governors who integrate it, that is, the current Governor, his cousin Enrique Peña and the entire network of corruption that they have extended in public institutions and any available public space -including most autonomous organizations and business networks- but also the pseudo-opposition groups that are currently controlling -in theory- the Chamber of Deputies and that gravitate- as always- around the central power. Yes, the Atlacomulco Group, defined in itself, as a peculiar, peculiarly corrupt form that combines business and politics.

And how can Barranco explain this theory? In reality, it´s very simple, all those who currently occupy a seat in the 60 Local Legislature, or at least the vast majority, were formed and fed politically from the same corruption model that has been operating in Edomex for several decades under the shelter of the PRI. I recommend the interview that you can consult here: LINK

To leave:

Just travel to Oaxaca invited to the Second Meeting of Women Journalists. There i had the opportunity to exchange several talks with colleagues from all over the country. A leading investigative journalist shared with me what in turn shamelessly revealed to him by a foreign entrepreneur -settled several years already in Mexico for business reasons- in previous days: “Yes, we are really organizing a coup against López Obrador”. And not only the business groups, but also the PRI elites colluded with the PAN and collaterals would be participating.

This arose after journalistic interpretations of what happened in Culiacán, with the “uprising” of criminal groups; A narco-coup d´etat?

Until the next time.
