Information:

The governor of the Estado de México, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, last May 17 pointed out that vehicle robbery had decreased 7% on the state during the last four months.

Analysis:

According to the data of the Executive Secretary’s Office from the National System of Public Security, during Juanuary this month there were made 4325 robbers of vehicle. Including four-wheeled vehicles and motorcycles. On February, the amount decreased to 3696 cases to rally March with 4439.

With regards to percentages, the decrease between January and February was 17.01%. From February to March, increased 16.74%, and from March to April, decreased 12.57%. Regarding the difference between January and April, and which the governor from the PRI, talked about, the decrease is 9.68%. Two percentage points up from what he stated.

Conclusions:

The statements made by Alfredo del Mazo, were made during a work meeting of the Security Secretary and Citizen Protection from the Government of Mexico.
