In femicides and missing women, groups demand a “Gender Alert” in all Estado de México. The group headed by Observatorio Ciudadano Nacional del Feminicidio accused the Fiscaliía General de Justicia del Estado de México of becoming an obstacle for women to reach life violence free. Not just because they do not investigate or solve crimes against women but victimize repeatedly with institutional violence to their family who searches for justice.

A few hours away from start of the commemoration activities for the International Women’s Day in the world, many groups leaded by the OCNF, accused that dependency which is led by the Districts Attorney Alejandro Gómez Sánchez, to be the biggest obstacle for the family of the victims of femicide and missing women to reach justice.

Women legislative also heard the testimony of several groups and family of the missing or killed women. Whom the search for justice has become torture.

Mothers who suffer from institutional violence. Mainly by the Public Prosecutor, governmental agents, secretaries of the FGJEM and state authorities, including the office of victim’s assistance. Told some hard testimonies which have paralyzed their lives in the absence of their killed teenagers or even younger daughters including single mothers and, now they have to take care of the babies.

Many of them explained that they are not just not resolving issues or asking for money to do their job, but they give long explanations that lead nowhere, they deny provisions or support so they can provide for their grandchildren, also them, and their own broken life.

Some women desperate and sick of the institutions not caring, including the Local Congress. Rather leave the room for a moment. They say it is always the same and they are tired, sick. Some women even say that they are tired to give their own testimony to the press that hardly ever looks for them to talk.

We are the voice no one listens to, is not worthy, say some women who had lost their daughters o have missing children for five years now. Between 2015 and 2018 were murdered 252 girls of less than 17 years in the Estado de México. While in the same year and in the same state there were, 119 femicides committed and 946 women and children disappeared. This does not include grievous kills. Usually, this is two times the number of femicides.
