The government Secretary, Miguel Angel Osorio Chong informed that three municipalities of the State of Mexico came out of the 50 most violent Mexican locations and with the highest rate of homicides’ list, so he also anticipated that there will be new security measures with the participation of the armed forces and CISEN in Naucalpan, Tlalnepantla and Ecatepec.
Among the most violent municipalities on the list, there are also Tultitlán, Tecamac and Valle de Chalco, informed the Secretary on a meeting in Ecatepec with the current State of Mexico’s governor, Alfredo del Mazo, to review the strategy for security.
During the event made at the C5 of the location, the federal official, in charge of the Federal Security Office, pointed out that now one of the aims will be to low the robbing rates, problem that has the highest incidence in entity’s crimes.
In this way, he said in advance that the efforts on the security issue will be focused on the municipalities of Ecatepec, Naucalpan and Tlalnepantla through “a coordinated scheme with the Mayors of such towns, so these measures help to reduce the crime rates on the entity”.
Osorio affirmed that in those locations there will be a full cleaning through the operation called “rastrillo” (or razor) among others and in which the army will be participating as well as the Federal Police, the PGR and CISEN.
“In these three municipalities where, by the way, the highest rate of crimes is concentrated, the ones that hurt the heritage and put the people’s lives in danger, an integral strategy has been designed: sector by sector, neighborhood by neighborhood, main avenues, entries and exits to the municipalities, in public transport, in federal transport”, the Secretary mentioned when he gave details about the operations that will be done during the next hours in those three locations.
About the gender violence, Miguel Angel Osorio said that the agreement with the state government is to attack the problem from different fronts, including the one about creating consciousness that “it is not normal to hurt a woman or treating her with insults, violent her in any way or even take her life away”, he pointed. Osorio highlighted that Alfredo Del Mazo is in charge of such operations.
