As in the entire country, the state of Mexico is in red color of "maximum risk" within the COVID-19 risk light implemented by the federal government, in a pandemic that is completely overwhelmed and with numbers that in only 13 days practically increased by 60%, continuing to add new patients and fatalities every 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the most recent report from state and federal authorities confirms that Edomex is transiting the longest period of SARS-CoV-2 transmission, closing last night with 18,522 confirmed cases and 2,244 deaths, of which 681 occurred in other entities, including Mexico City, where Mexicans living in the metropolitan area of ​​the Valley of Mexico are going to attend.

It should be noted that in addition to that number of deaths and accumulated confirmed cases of coronaviruses in EDOMEX, another 7 thousand 721 cases were cataloged as “suspects” of the same number of people last night. That is, 50% additional to those confirmed, and that eventually would be adding to the official numbers as the results are released.

On the last day alone, 377 more infected people and 15 people who died were added to the entity, although a day earlier, 17 deaths and 360 additional infections had been reported.

Among the Mexicans who lost the battle against the coronavirus this Sunday, the mayor of Coyotepec, Sergio Anguiano Melendez, 58, who died last night from COVID-19. It was reported at the Zumpango Regional High Specialty Hospital.
