When María Elena found out on television that she and her partner belonged to the sector of people vulnerable to the COVID-19 contagion, fear settled in her life at the real and close possibility of getting sick and dying, so given this inescapable risk. She also knew that the only way to deal with it was the confinement and she did so. Today together with her partner, they celebrate 70 days of quarantine with discharges, but alive.

The beginning of the quarantine for Elena and Adelfo was fatal, as it caused them anxiety, anguish, and uncertainty because they did not know what was going to happen to them if they were going to be infected or if they could die.

"When I found out about this information, I was worried, even with fear, because we have been painted with a terrible disease, we are older adults. I asked myself, why me? I adore Life, and will I have to die? That is why I have to take care of myself, taking refuge in my house ”.

She explained that the uncertainty was so distressing that at night she could not sleep, as she had severe anxiety attacks. "The first 15 days, when I saw that it was getting dark, I felt that I was dying, it was the ordeal that happened every night."
