After the declaration of Phase 3 of the coronavirus pandemic in Mexico, the government of the State of Mexico implemented various measures to increase restrictions on mobility and limit the infections that are now expected in a massive way.
The points announced by the Mexican government that will operate from this Wednesday are the following:
-The stay at home must be all the time and in case of going out for food, medicine or using public transport, the use of the face mask is mandatory.
-Public transport must operate at 50 percent of its capacity, and the application of Hoy No Circula has been defined for all holograms in the Valley of Mexico and the Valley of Toluca.
-Non-essential activities must be restricted, as well as closing businesses that are not dedicated to the sale of food, medicine, and basic necessities, and fines and sanctions are considered for companies that do not comply.
-The use of face masks is mandatory to leave home and when using public transport.
-The Mexibús and the Mexicable, as well as the concessioned public transport, will operate at 50 percent of their capacity, to maintain a healthy distance between the users.
-In coordination with Mexico City, the application of "Hoy No Circula" was defined in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico, for all holograms, including 0 and 00, a measure that will also be carried out in the Toluca Valley.
-All non-essential activities must be restricted and fines and penalties will be applied to companies that do not comply with the closure of their activities.
-Businesses dedicated to an activity other than the sale of food, medicine or basic necessities must also close.
-The application of these measures at the local level must be reinforced by municipal governments.
Until Tuesday night, in the State of Mexico, the national epidemiology system confirmed 901 positive cases of COVID-19, 311 people hospitalized, 29 patients are intubated, and 58 deaths have been recorded.
